Dr. Lauren Wolitzer

Dr. Lauren Wolitzer grew up in the New York area and developed an early interest in healthcare and patient-centered service. She went on to attend New York University, where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. During her time at NYU, she worked as an optometric technician, where her interest in eye care grew into a passion for pursuing a career in optometry.

Dr. Wolitzer earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the New York State College of Optometry, where she received extensive training in primary eye care, ocular disease, contact lenses, and dry eye management. During her clinical education, she completed an intensive rotation in a specialty contact lens clinic, gaining advanced experience in diagnosing and managing keratoconus and fitting patients with irregular corneas. She also has experience working with custom lenses, including rigid gas permeable and scleral lenses. In recognition of her clinical skills and dedication to patient care, she was awarded the American Optometric Foundation Award of Excellence in Contact Lens Patient Care.

Dr. Wolitzer performs comprehensive eye examinations and has experience managing complex eyeglass and contact lens prescriptions, as well as a wide range of ocular conditions, including glaucoma and dry eye disease. She is particularly skilled in custom contact lens solutions for patients with severe dry eye, ocular surface disease, and irregular corneal conditions.
