Low Level Light Therapy (LLLT)
LLLT is a painless, non-invasive procedure that uses specific wavelengths of light to promote healing, reduce inflammation, and reduce pain. LLLT can be applied to the eyelids as an effective treatment option for dry eye disease. LLLT can be used with any skin type, and is most effective when combined with IPL.

Patients typically experience a warm or tingling sensation, but LLLT is generally not painful. Some people may not feel any sensation at all during the treatment.
The term "low-level" refers to the fact that the intensity of the light used in this therapy is low enough that it doesn't cause tissue damage or discomfort during treatment.

The procedure is FDA-cleared and is considered a safe and non-invasive therapy. LLLT is associated with minimal side effects when compared to more invasive treatments.
Common side effects, if any, are typically mild and transient, such as temporary redness or irritation.
